GOOD TO KNOW
Certified Sustainable Vineyard in France. Hand harvested.
Winemaker: Joost de Willebois Joost is a Dutch name, but his family roots are based predominantly in Northern France. He founded Villebois after purchasing a working winery from a retiring winemaker in 2004, and transformed it into a high-quality producer of Sancerre, Pouilly-Fume, and Touraine AOC. Fruit Source: Situated West of Sancerre in the Middle-Loire, Touraine is famous for its warm summers and calcareous Tuffeau soils, which create zesty wines with racy acidity and bright fruit flavors. Some fruit also from hilltop vineyards just outside of Touraine with more flint-driven soils, which adds minerality and texture. Production 100% Stainless Steel to preserve freshness and crisp acidity. The Vegan aspect of this wine is gained by avoiding traditional clarification methods that involve the use of animal byproducts. Sustainability Certified sustainable by Agricole Raisonnee - adheres to strict standards of farming methods including organic fertilization, soil management, minimal irrigation, nurturing biodiversity and natural habitats etc.
