The Castle

Touraine Chenonceaux is a young appellation of the Loire Valley since 2011. This is a unique location close to the world famous Chateau de Chenonceau, second most visited castle of France. 100% Sauvignon on clay and siliceous limestone. The bottle is a very nice and special type of bottle with a very "serious" shape and profile!

As a part of history, Diane de Poitiers was the owner of the Chateau de Chenonceau during the 16th century. She was also the founder, artisan and designer of the gardens which became one of the most famous gardens in the world!

Characteristics & Tasting Notes

Terroir: Clay & siliceous (flint stones).

Ageing: As a tribute of quality this wine has to stay on the lees until April.

Fresh, aromatic and fruity on the nose. The wine, after a zesty start, has a nice fatness with tremendous complexity and minerality. It is a long, delicate, fine, elegant and complex wine. Outstanding finish!
