FARMING AND TASTING NOTES
From the vines... Varietal : 100% Gamay Noir. Vineyard area : 5 acres. Density of plantation : 4000 vines per acre. Vine Age : 85 years old. Plot : Les Michelons . Soil type : Red granite, sandstone and manganese. Elevation : 300m. Exposure : South. Farming: Sustainable farming, plowing of the soil, putting vines undergrass, use of natural fertilizer. Winemaking : Wholecluster maceration for 14 days in concrete vats, fermenation under native yeast. Aging : Aging for 10 months in neutral Burgundy barrels. Dark carmine red robe with red cherry highlights. The nose is a subtile mix of kirsch, blueberry and licorice. The palate is bright, with fineness and supple tannins.
