WINEMAKER'S NOTE
This cuvee has been patiently aged in barrels of 228L for 18 months then allowed to rest for a year in the bottle. This one year resting period is essential to produce this great Corsican red wine. So the native varietal Niellucciu is able to reveal its aromatic complexity and elegant structure.
TASTING NOTES
Colour/Nose: A lovely basket of fresh fruit and flowers enhanced by a slightly smoky hint. We are transported into a field of wild blackberries in the middle of the garrigue with floral notes of violet or rose. Niellucciu unveils its indulgence and intensity Palate: We bite into plump juicy black fruit with gusto, the wine is both powerful and crisp. Jammy notes of blackberry and strawberry combine with a bouquet of spices. The tannins are present but already blended in the wine. The finish has a roasted delicate flavour with a hint of chocolate. An exceptional vintage due to its balance and expression.
